Celestial Cassman's Ex Charged With Second-Degree Murder
Maui County court documents reveal new details about what led to the Santa Cruz woman's death.
Celestial Cassman, a 35-year-old deputy city attorney for Capitola, Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, .
Gerald Galaway, 38, identified by friends as her ex-boyfriend, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the killing, according to Hawaii News Now.
Cassman, a UC Santa Cruz graduate, was an attorney in the Santa Cruz law firm of Atchison, Barisone, Condotti and Kovacevich. She also served on the board of directors for CASA. is a Watsonville-based nonprofit that provides support to youth in the court system.
