Police Blotter: Robbery, Thefts and a Jail Break

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate an arrest.

 

Watsonville Police Log, Thursday, Feb. 9

12:42 a.m.—A 26-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 100 block of Blanca Lane.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

12:50 a.m.—A woman got a ticket for possessing stolen property on the 100 block of Westridge Drive.

1:11 a.m.—A 27-year-old man allegedly had toluene for the purposes of ingesting, a violation of his probation. He was arrested on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.

10:18 a.m.—A man on probation was arrested for having alcohol, a violation of his terms. He was arrested on the 100 block of West Lake Avenue.

11:04 a.m.—A vandal spray painted graffiti on the walls and vehicles at a Ross Avenue home. The vandalism happened sometime since 8 a.m. Monday.

11:47 a.m.—A forger altered a check written to the city of Watsonville.

3:06 p.m.—An iPad was stolen from a teachers desk at Pajaro Valley High School. The theft happened sometime since 8 a.m. Tuesday.

4 p.m.—A teenager stole a large stuffed animal from a store on East Beach and Union Street, then brandished a knife at an employee.

5:36 p.m.—A man was arrested for drug possession during a probation check on Maple Avenue and Marchant Street. He had medication with him but no prescription, and was jailed.

8:49 p.m.—A 42-year-old man was arrested for being drunk and in violation of his parole on the 1300 block of Madison Street.

9:41 p.m.—A vandal keyed a car on the 100 block of Still Breeze Lane between 6-9:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

7:46 am.—A car burglar smashed the driver's side window of a car parked on East Front Street and stole a Kenwood car stereo, CDs and a South Pole jacket.

8:55 a.m.—A Sony laptop worth $1,000 was stolen from a car on the 100 block of Ford Street overnight.

10:26 a.m.—Someone smashed out windows on a business on the 100 block of Main Street, damaged a vending machine inside and removed items.

11:45 a.m.—A thief broke into a vacant house on the 100 block of Carey Avenue and stole items over the weekend.

1:13 p.m.—Two teenage girls were arrested for fighting a student on the 300 block of East Lake Avenue, causing minor injuries.

6:51 p.m.—The Metro PCS store on the 1400 Boulevard was robbed at gunpoint by two men wearing bandannas over their faces. They got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

10:17 p.m.—There was a fight on East Lake Avenue and Lincoln Street. A 34-year-old man was ticketed for a probation violation.

Sheriff's Office, Wednesday, Feb. 8

3 p.m.—A thief stole a camera from a park bench at Pinto Lake County Park on Green Valley Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

3 p.m.—Rountree Jail inmate Eldredge Worrell escaped from the jail near Buena Vista Drive.
