On November 15th, Main Street Garden & Café will feature Live Earth Farm’s produce and goat in a $50, 5 course, prix fixe meal.  $5 of every meal sold will go to LEFDP to support hands-on, farm-based education and nutrition programs for local youth.

Watsonville, CA, November 7, 2012 – Live Earth Farm produce and pasture raised goat will be featured in the Main Street Garden & Café Chefs Farm Night program on Thursday, November 15th, 2012.  The event supports local non-profit organization, the Live Earth Farm Discovery Program by donating five dollars of every meal purchased.  Funds raised at the event will help LEFDP provide ongoing opportunities for youth to visit Live Earth Farm to learn about organic farming, local food systems, and nutrition. Through LEFDP’s programs local, under served youth build confidence in learning to be active caretakers of themselves, their community and their environment.

Main Street Garden & Café features “slow food” prepared-to-order from simple, fresh, organic ingredients. All their pastas are hand-made!  They hand-make our pizza dough and bake it in their Italian-made wood-burning oven for an authentic tasting pizza.  On Saturday and Sunday they offer an Italian style brunch featuring frittatas made with fresh eggs from their chickens.  Main Street Garden & Café is open Wednesday through Sunday at 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday noon to 3pm. They are located in downtown Soquel at 3101 N. Main Street.

The Live Earth Farm Discovery Program (LEFDP) is a farm-based education not for profit organization in Watsonville, California.  LEFDP makes seed to mouth, farm to fork, and child to community connections through a variety of hands-on educational programs serving the youth of Santa Cruz, Santa Clara and Monterey counties and beyond.  A special emphasis is placed on reaching under served people in the community to bolster individual, community and environmental health.

I used my yes on T flier to line the birdcage. It pissed my parrot off so much, he bit me!

We got one too sweetcakes (some caring person actually tucked it into my door handle so it wouldn'tRead More blow away) even though I have a "No on T" sign in my yard. The "Yes on T" is all lies anyway so it went right into my recycle bin. Perhaps it was just coincidence but they came while we were at the City Council meeting last night. Go figure.
