Ecology Action Awarded PG&E Contracts for Energy Upgrade CA Marketing, Education & Outreach Services

Ecology Action, a leading provider of innovative marketing and engagement programs that overcome barriers to reducing energy use and achieving environmental sustainability, today announced it has been awarded two contracts with PG&E to provide marketing, education and outreach (ME&O) services for the Energy Upgrade California program that reduces energy use, saves money and creates jobs. The contracts cover work in sixteen California counties including Butte, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Fresno, Kern, Monterey, Placer, San Benito, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties. The Energy Upgrade California program delivers assistance, tools and training to contractors and rebates to homeowners.

Based on building science principles, Energy Upgrade California emphasizes an integrated, “whole house” approach to energy efficiency, starting with an assessment of current systems to identify solutions that will improve the comfort and energy performance of a home. Partnering with local government agencies, and participating with home performance contractors, Ecology Action will provide homeowners with opportunities to participate in the program–including delivering homeowner workshops–to make their homes more energy efficient and utilize rebates and incentives offered by PG&E.

"Ecology Action is pleased to support PG&E in delivering this important energy efficiency program across much of California,” said Jim Murphy, executive director/CEO of Ecology Action. “We have deep experience delivering marketing, education and outreach services for Energy Upgrade California, and we’re excited about this opportunity to help PG&E bring the program to homeowners.”

From October 2010 through April 2012, Ecology Action led and managed the implementation of the California Energy Commission’s Energy Upgrade California program – a statewide energy retrofit program for single-family residential buildings, financed in part through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.

We got one too sweetcakes (some caring person actually tucked it into my door handle so it wouldn'tRead More blow away) even though I have a "No on T" sign in my yard. The "Yes on T" is all lies anyway so it went right into my recycle bin. Perhaps it was just coincidence but they came while we were at the City Council meeting last night. Go figure.
