“At Nordic Naturals, we bring sustainability to everything we do,” said CEO Joar Opheim. “Since our founding, we have cared about the impact our activities have on the health of our oceans and on people around the world. Healthy people. Healthy oceans. It’s what’s essential.”

On Facebook. Nordic Naturals will engage its Facebook community in a variety of Earth Week activities. Fans will have the opportunity to learn about three nonprofits that work to preserve the ocean and then vote for one to receive a $5,000 donation from the company. Nordic Naturals employees have pledged to “live greener” during Earth Week. Those pledges, facts about the company’s sustainable practices, and tips about ways to protect the planet will be posted.

Fans will also have the chance to try Nordic Naturals’ award-winning omega-3 supplements through daily giveaways and the opportunity to share a “What’s Essential” story and be entered to win a trip to Santa Cruz, California, or one of 18 other prizes.

On Shore. Nordic Naturals employees will team up with Save Our Shores, a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for the marine environment, to clean up beautiful Manresa State Beach on Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. We got one too sweetcakes (some caring person actually tucked it into my door handle so it wouldn'tRead More blow away) even though I have a "No on T" sign in my yard. The "Yes on T" is all lies anyway so it went right into my recycle bin. Perhaps it was just coincidence but they came while we were at the City Council meeting last night. Go figure.
