The "Stash & Dash" fundraiser is going down this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rio Tanning and Salon in Watsonville.
The event will help raise funds for Edith Gonzalez Alvarez, a young girl from Los Baños who is in a hospital bed battling for life after being in a coma.
Edith is a fan of guys with a mustache, a trend which people are now using to show support and raise awareness. So it's only fitting that the fundraiser should have a "stash" theme.
The idea is to go into Rio, get your stash waxed, and leave in a dash.
The event is hosted by April Sanchez and she will perfrom the wax job for only $6. At the end of the day 50% of all proceeds including any gratuities, will go to Edith.
There will be a poster board for each person getting a stash wax to sign so Edith can see how many people are rooting for her.
