The Two Wheeled Drive is a campaign to encourage and motivate more people to use bicycles to get to and from work, school, the grocery store, or just for fun. Similar to the better known walk-a-thon, The Two Wheeled Drive is a commute-a-thon where the ultimate goal is to raise money to teach more kids about the benefits of the bicycle. The commute-a-thon works like this: participants create a personal challenge for how often they will choose their bike over their car, then they set a fundraising goal, then they create a personal pledge page, then they start raising money to reach their goal while also participating in their personal commute challenge. (See more details and examples below in “Here’s how it all works”.) AND, THERE ARE PRIZES! Over $12,000 in prizes will be given out to participants for their fundraising efforts! This is not a challenge based on miles… this is a challenge based on getting you on your bike more often, while raising money for youth bicycle education.
