Chilly Watsonville Weather to Linger Through Wednesday

Temperatures will drop to below freezing early Tuesday.

Freezing overnight temperatures will continue in many parts of the Bay Area and Santa Cruz County early this week before a slight warming trend begins Wednesday, a National Weather Service forecaster said.

After Wednesday, temperatures are expected to return to normal for this time of year, which usually sees lows in the 40s -- rather than in the 20s and 30s as seen in the past few days, forecaster Steve Anderson said.

"It's not warm, but warmer," Anderson said of the approaching weather system.
