Get Out: Catch a Concert, Art Show This Weekend

Here's a few fun options for your weekend—starting today!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch will come to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.

1. 7th WAVE
Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday at , 40 Penny Ln.
Why Go: The progressive rock group from the United Kingdom is a great live show.
Cost: No cover.

2. SANTA CRUZ COUNTY BANK ARTS COLLABORATIVE
Where/When: 720 Front St., Santa Cruz on Thursday and Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with a meet-the-artists event 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Why Go: Use the collaborative as a resource for satisfying your cultural curiosity about the human condition. Share in the  experience of seven artists who reveal familiar daily activities, routines and attitudes of everyday people in current times.
Cost: Free.

3. OZZY OZBORNE
Where/When: at the HP Pavillion in San Jose at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Why Go: The performance features other legendary rockers like Slash from Guns and Roses and Todd Kerns.

Where/When: 3-7 p.m. Friday at the City Plaza, Beck and Union streets.
Why Go: This  farmers' market is unique in style with a mercado feel. Enjoy the splendor of local  produce and prepared foods from the Pajaro Valley's fertile land.
Cost: Free, but bring some cash for fresh veggies or prepared food.

5. THE PLANET CRUZ COMEDY HOUR
Where/When: 8 p.m. Saturday at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz
Why Go: Richard Stockton hosts a hilarious comedy and variety show about the stories, the people, the music and the spirit of Santa Cruz. Don't miss this chance to have fun with your community. It's open to all ages.
Cost: Ticket prices are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
