Watsonville Entertains with Annual Fourth of July Parade

Dancers, cars and horses entertained the crowds lining Main Street for the Spirit of Watsonville parade

Watsonville celebrated Fourth of July with its annual parade down Main Street. 

As with previous years sidewalks were crowded with community members, trying to get the best view of the parade processions. 

Firemen, police chiefs and community members accompanied by kids and dogs led the parade.

Sports groups including the Watsonville High School Cheerleaders, Watsonville Jr. Wildcatz and Pajaro Valley Youth Soccer Youth chanted their cheers in unison.

Energetic women representing Jazzercise and D'Cairo Hair Studio danced down the street, spreading energy to those lining the sidewalks. 

Bikes of various style rolled through the parade followed by cars that revved their engines and did fancy tricks such as bouncing up and down or raising and lowering one half of the car.

The horses—what all the little girls waited for—finished off the parade as they strutted and did tricks of their own such as dancing to the music or standing on two legs.
