The Santa Cruz Baroque Festival presents its:
FALL BENEFIT CONCERT
With seasonal early music featuring oustanding young artists
December 10, 2011 at 7:30pm
The Baroque Festival offers a prelude to its 39th concert season 'Evolution!' with a benefit concert featuring young regional talent ranging from accomplished high school musicians to young professionals. This program features baroque music for the winter holidays, and other selections. Performing are Tyler Hayford (piano and pipe organ) with music by Bach, Sheila Willey (soprano) and Alissa Roedig (baroque flute) with selections by French and German baroque composers, as well as the Pacific String Quartet performing Corelli's beloved 'Christmas Concerto'. Bringing with him a taste of European street flair, special guest Darryl Coe and 'Affe' will greet arriving guests with his 'Drehorgel' (street organ).
This concert takes place in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, at Calvary Episcopal aka the 'Red Church' on December 10 beginning at 7:30pm (the church is located at Center & Lincoln streets).
