The organization engages in promoting the educational advancement of farmworkers and their children, promoting sustainable development projects, examining the laws that affect farmworker livelihoods and advocating for policy changes that enhance farmworker family wellbeing, and supporting education and research on farmworker issues in California and Mexico.

The Springfield Community Grange is an 80 year old organization that has recently been revitalized. Since Fall 2011, over 100 new members have joined what promises to be a lively and active grassroots community center. Since its revitalization, the Springfield Grange has hosted organic and local pancake breakfasts, concerts, flea markets, craft fairs, with much more to come for 2012.
