Why Go: To play Bunco during Bunco night. And to support Omega Nu. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be a cold buffet and desserts, too, along with soda, coffee and wine; raffles and prizes. So don't miss out on the fun!

Why Go: Learn more about local birds and take a walk through the Watsonville Wetlands. Bring a brown bag lunch and binoculars. The walk and class is meant for beginning birders.

Where/When: , 500 Harkins Slough Rd., Watsonville (Fitz Wetlands Educational Resource Center at the top of the Pajaro Valley High School campus), Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why Go: Help restore wetland habitat. The work includes planting native plants,removing exotic invasive plants and helping in the greenhouse. Don't worry about tools, the wetlands project will provide. Also provided will be a snack and a nature walk when the work is done.

Where/When: , 515 Palm Ave., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Do you have children who walk to school? Do you like to walk? Are you concerned about pedestrian safety? This workshop on pedestrian safety aims to make us all more aware and the streets safer for those of us who walk. The workshop will be held in English and Spanish. Lunch and child care will be provided.

Where/When: , 215 E. Beach St., Sunday, 2 p.m.

Why Go: It's the county symphony's third concert of the season. The symphony performs a selection of delightful treats, including "Capriccio Espagnol" by Rimsky-Korsakov and Liszt's Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2,. Grammy-nominated pianist Adam Neiman will appear as soloist.
