Grab and Go Kids Planner

It's that time again to look for some special things to do with—or for—your children.

So much to do, so little time to figure out just what it is you can do with and for your children. Agriculture Day contest winners are recognized, a free concert, a performance by a nationally known comedian and an all-you-can eat spaghetti dinner and a talent contest are among our Patch picks for Watsonville this week.

Why Go: It's a day to honor and recognize the winners of the  Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau and the Agri-Culture organization's contest winners. Both winners are from Watsonville: Grace Bowman, a sixth-grader from Bradley Elementary School for the poster contest; and Ashley Malone, a 10th-grader from Monte Vista Christian High School in poetry.

Why Go:  Teodora George is a local Monterey Bay Christian artist, and she wants to share her music with you.

Why go:  All you can eat and all your kids can eat for a reasonable price, and you support a good cause. And it means no cooking for the chef of the family Saturday night!

Why Go: He's funny, you will laugh, and going will be a great way to support the Manzanitas of Watsonville High School bond with your high school student. Here's what Jeff is asking of each students who attends: that they sign a contract between themselves and their parents for a good, productive future.

Why Go: This is the Scott's Valley Exchange Club's version of "America's Got Talent." It's called "Search for Talent," a friendly competition open to all young people from first grade through 17 years of age. No audition is required. Open to all; Scotts Valley residency not required.
