Story in Photos: Obon Festival

Obon, a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the dead, was celebrated in Watsonville Sunday.

The is a time in which we remember and appreciate our ancestors and all they have sacrificed for us. It was celebrated at the Watsonville Buddhist Temple. It is also a time for families to get together.

There were many faces at the festival. People were laughing, eating, enjoying live entertainment, playing games and having fun.

Most importantly, everyone was there to remember and honor their departed loved ones.
