Last Chance: It's Tax Day in Watsonville

There are other important deadlines this week for kids' programs and the business expo.

We all do it. Forget to mark our calendars for upcoming soccer league sign-ups, prom tickets or local business expos. There are so many events and opportunities in Watsonville that is can be hard to keep tabs on them all.

Fortunately, Patch is here to help track some of those important deadlines. The following is a list of deadlines coming up. Take a look before it's your last chance!

TAXES

SPORTS

Itty Bitty Soccer: Kids ages 3-5 can learn the fundamentals and have fun on the soccer field at Callaghan Park. Soccer starts in May. Register by April 5 and get a $5 discount. Registration ends Friday, April 19. To register, contact customer service at 768-3240.

BUSINESS

The annual Pajaro Valley Business Expo is April 26, but the deadline to get your business listed in the event program is Wednedsay, April 18. Mail or email registration, business card and company logo, with payment, to: Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, P.O. Box, 1748, Watsonville, CA 95077 or dianne@pajarovalleychamber.com, fax 728-5300.

FOOD

BBQ Class: Learn the basiscs of throwing a barbeque. Cost is $15 but if students cannot afford the class fee, there are scholarships available. Contact the G.H.W.R. Youth Center for more information on how to apply. It's open to kids ages 10-22. Class is 4-5 p.m. on April 20; registration ends Thursday, April 19. To register, contact customer service at 768-3240.

HIGHER EDUCATION

new students can start registering for summer classes on on Monday, April 23. The college began accepting applications for summer session earlier in April and will continue class registration until summer programs start in June. More information about how to apply for Cabrillo is avaliable here.
