Watsonville Blockbuster Video Shutting Its Doors

The move comes as parent company Dish Networks continues to focus on store profitability.

Watsonville residents who want to rent the latest videos and don’t want to wait for delivery by the postman will have one less option when the Blockbuster on Freedom Boulevard closes in April.

The Register Pajaroan online edition reported today that the Watsonville store is one of 300 Blockbusters around the country that are slated for closure.

Movie fanciers who still want to pick out a video and take it home have a couple of options. Lincoln Street Video is still renting videos and selling snacks.
