Graniterock to Show High School Students Career Opportunities

The annual career day is set for May 3.

Graniterock will host the Sixth Annual Construction Career Day on Friday, May 3, 2013 at its A.R. Wilson Quarry in Aromas. This day is designed for San Benito and Santa Cruz County high school students, and will highlight the many varied and interesting career paths the construction industry has to offer.  

The day will begin promptly at 9 a.m. with a tour of the Quarry. Peter Lemon, Graniterock's A. R. Wilson Quarry Manager, will address the students, followed by interactive presentations from over 25 different professionals representing a variety of construction, engineering, science and green building occupations. The event will conclude at 1:30 PM.

A limited number of students will be eligible to register for the event. Interested students from Santa Cruz County high schools should contact Luan Seaman at 831.477.5681. Questions about the event should be directed to Keith Severson at 831.768.2063.
