State Senator Will Speak at Farm Bureau Dinner

The Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau will celebrate its 94th anniversary later this month.

The ’s 94th anniversary will be celebrated at its annual meeting, Thursday, June 23 at the Bargetto Winery in Soquel. The featured speaker for this celebration will be state Sen. Sam Blakeslee of the 15th District. He will speak on the topic of “California’s Future."

Sponsors for this year’s event are Driscoll’s, Cowles Berry Farm, Garroutte Farms, State Compensation Insurance Fund, J.E. Farms and the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County. The organization will be announcing the recipient of the 2011 Farmer of the Year and elect the incoming officers and directors for 2011/2012.
