Target Makes Holiday Donation to Shelter

Pajaro Rescue Mission guests received presents Friday.

The Watsonville Target store spread a little Christmas cheer among Watsonville's neediest residents Friday when staff donated over 80 gifts to Pajaro Rescue Mission guests, Watsonville Police Chief Manny Solano reported.

The presents included toys, food and supplies for holiday meals. Target Manager Vanessa Trejo coordinated the project, according to Solano, who also serves on the board of the Pajaro Rescue Mission.

"This kind gesture brought the recipients to tears, as they are currently without the means to purchase gifts for their loved ones," Solano said in a prepared statement.
