Watsonville Eateries Get Kudos

Seven Watsonville restaurants were toasted for their healthy menu options when the annual Golden Carrot Awards were served up earlier this month.

, Erik's Delifcafe, , Reyna's, , The Galley (the restaurant a ) and Watsonville Catering were feted for their food choices.

The Golden Carrot Award, which was first presented in 2008, recognizes food establishments in Santa Cruz County that meet high standards for offering nutritional menu options. There are 27 restaurants in Santa Cruz County that won 2011 Golden Carrot award.

Charlie Hong Kong in Santa Cruz . The carrot award was presented last week and included an appearance by a live giant carrot.
