Twenty years ago the City of Watsonville Municipal Airport acquired land to ensure safety zones would be guaranteed for the future. The safety zone addition included development of the Airport’s Golf Driving Range which became a popular recreational venue. Last July, the City of Watsonville leased this land to a private group, who invested over $300,000 in renovations to the property to create Pacific Golf Centers Watsonville. The 9.5 acre Watsonville location includes practice areas, Pacific Tap House (restaurant & bar), Pro Shop, and a teaching academy. To read more about the project, please click here.

“Tasty: Everyone Has a Place at Our Table”

On Saturday, February 8th the City of Watsonville is set to experience its second major public art installation brought to us by the Pajaro Valley Arts Council (PVAC).  In 2012, the walls of the city were covered in posters for peace in the “Inside Out” project “Peace In Our Streets”.  This year the show’s theme is: “Tasty: Everyone Has a Place At Our Table”.  To read more about the art installation, please click here.
