Who will be Watsonville's next Mayor and Vice Mayor?

So, tonight the Watsonville City Council, or at least five of them, will appoint a new Mayor and Vice Mayor. A group of concerned Watsonville citizens are trying to get some measures on the June 2014 ballot to do something about the blatant cronyism and corruption that plagues the selection process of Mayor and Vice Mayor, as well as the filling of vacant City Council seats. Those of us participating in collecting signatures to get these measures on the ballot have heard widespread outrage from residents all over Watsonville over the corrupt practices on our City Council. Looking into my crystal ball, I see a circus, where all of the acts have been rehearsed and scripted. I see a prediction that tonight's antics will be no different than in the past. What, do I see in my crystal ball that our next Mayor will be Mrs. Luis Alejo, even though longtime City Council Member Nancy Bilicich is clearly the most experienced, qualified and deserving person to serve as our next Mayor? And let's see - the crystal ball is telling me that Mr. Alejo's winetasting buddy and cofounder of a militant racist hate group will be appointed Vice Mayor? I can't wait to get a front row seat at tonight's circus.
