Friendly Feline Seeks Loving Home
Mature tabby can't wait to become part of the family.
George, a 7 year-old orange tabby, is this week’s Pet of the Week at the Watsonville Animal Shelter.
With a lustrous tiger-striped coat and striking green eyes, George has a regal bearing. Affable and friendly, the tabby loves human contact and affection.
“George loves people” says Erica Thomas, a shelter volunteer. “He’s not shy, he’ll run right up to anyone.”

Although George is an affectionate human-lover, the tabby is uncomfortable around other cats and dogs.
“George would do best as a single cat” says shelter director Kiersten Foxx. “ He’s a homebody.”

Due the tabby’s temperament, George would be best suited as an indoor cat in a household where people are home often to keep him company. Curled up on someone’s lap is where George feels most at home.
George is neutered and litter-box trained. Come down to the shelter and visit with George. He is just waiting for a place to call home.
Currently, the Watsonville Animal Shelter is running a half-off special on cat adoptions.
The Watsonville Animal Shelter is located at 580 Airport Blvd. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. The shelter is closed for major holidays. Call 831-454-7303 , ext. 0, for more information.
