Police Blotter: Illegal Camping and Meth Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday

10:38 p.m. Two men were located in an illegal camp behind 500 Westridge Dr. During a probation search of the area, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was found and both suspects were taken into custody.

4:28 p.m. Christopher Thyne was contacted for speeding on Clifford Ave W and Freedom Blvd and found to have a suspended license. A bottle of Norco, with the name scratched off, was also found in the vehicle even though Thyne did not have a prescription. He was released on a citation.

2 a.m. An unknown suspect jumped into the rear yard of Watsonville Auto Body on Airport Blvd overnight, burglarized two locked vehicles and stole property. The suspect fled the scene and was not located.

6:58 p.m. Two unknown suspects, one armed with a gun, entered the bar on the 1800 block of Freedom Blvd and removed cash from the register during business hours. 

10:42 a.m. A victim reported that her son, Albert Rodriguez, arrived home on the 100 block of Fuchsia Dr, grabbed a knife and appeared paranoid. He then shoved her for no reason. The mother wanted to file charges against Rodriguez for battery.

Saturday

8 p.m. Unknown suspects used an unknown object to break the front window of a parked and locked vehicle on the 100 block of Chappell Loop.
