Police Blotter: Teenager Stabbed

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A suspected gang member attacked a teenage couple as they walked near Riverside Drive and Main Street late Friday, Watsonville police reported.

The gang member stabbed the boy twice in the upper torso and once in the head just before 10 p.m., police said. The girl wasn't hurt.

The attacker ran and officers searched unsuccessfully for him.

The boy was flown to a San Jose-area trauma center, police said.

12:34 a.m.—Marcelino Solis was arrested for trespassing near a home on the 200 block of Clifford Street.

7:23 a.m.—A vandal smashed out the window on a Santa Cruz County Animal Services truck parked on the 500 block of Airport Boulevard, causing $300 damage.

10:03 p.m.—Lilia Quintero, 25, was cited for allegedly obstructing an officer during a traffic stop on the 600 block of East Lake Avenue.

10:33 p.m.—A thief broke into a car on the 500 block of South Green Valley Road and stole items.

Wednesday, July 27

2:17 a.m.—Two teenagers were fighting on Blackburn Street at Blackburn Court. The boy had a tobacco pipe and later admitted to burglarizing vehicles. The girl had marijuana and stolen items.

10:29 a.m.—Police investigated a vehicle burglary on the 100 block of West Beach Street. There also was a car break-in on the 400 block of Westridge Drive.

11:52 a.m.—A burlgar stole items from an unlocked garage on the 100 blcok of Marin Street. A home on the 100 block of Alegre Drive also was burglarized in the afternoon. In the second case, the the burglar got in through an open kitchen window.
