POLL What's Your Take on the First Fall Storm?

Expect two rainstorms this week, but sun by the weekend.

The rain showers started Monday afternoon, but don't get too gray about the weather.

The sun should come back out by the weekend, according to Chris Stumpf, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Monterey.

The forecast called for light showers Monday and heavier rain Wednesday, Stumpf said.

“It’s the first cold front of the season," he said. “Most of the rain should fall early Wednesday morning… and then maybe some sprinkles the rest of the day."

Temperature highs will hover in the low- to mid-60s, so it won't be too cold out there, and there may be a sun break between the storms Tuesday.

Highs will rise into the 70s by Friday, when the sun reappears for the weekend.
