Showers, Showers, Bring Fresh Flowers

Find fresh flowers at the Watsonville Certified Farmer's Market.

The county may be sopping wet after these past few days of rain, but there's one good thing about the rainy days of early spring—flowers.

The Watsonville Certified Farmers' Market is a great place to pick up some fresh-cut flowers to brighten up your rainy-day table.

Ana Ruvalcaba of Ruvalcaba Nurseries always stocks her booth with the most beautiful, fresh flowers of the season. Grown especially for the farmers market, tulips, irises, daffodils and lilies are just a few of the spring flowers available this time of year. And, of course, there's roses, Ana’s specialty.

If you are interested in live flowers, as opposed to cut ones, check out the MacLellan Botanicals booth. MacLellan Botanicals offers stunning, live orchids grown right here on the Central Coast.

While flower-shopping at the market, you can't miss the fresh, locally grown produce. Spinach, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms are all available at the market this week. In the fruit department, oranges, lemons, and grapefruit are still here. Look forward to berries coming soon!
