Weather Nixes Snow Day, Holiday Tree Lighting

Inclement weather will push back the event one week, city officials announced Wednesday.

Snow Day and the holiday tree lighting in Watsonville will be pushed back a week because of the series of storms pummelling the Central Coast.

City officials announced the change Wednesday afternoon.

The events will be Sunday, Dec. 9. Snow Day will start at 3 p.m., and the 30-foot Redwood tree will be lit at 6 p.m.
