A celebratory community event to commemorate public ownership of the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line is happening this Saturday, November 17! The festivities will begin at 9:00 am at 411 Walker Street in Watsonville in front of Graniterock. We will enjoy music from the fabulous Aptos High School Choir along with a brief history of the rail line from local historian, Sandy Lydon. The train will depart to its next stop at 10:00 am. Morning refreshments will be available as well. This is going to be a great morning to bring your family and friends out to see the four-car train as it makes its way along the newly acquired rail line from Watsonville to Santa Cruz. The day will include stops and celebrations in Aptos, Capitola, Live Oak and Santa Cruz.
