Wednesday, November 28, Community Foundation Santa Cruz County hosts a seminar for donors and their advisors on how to use a family-before-fortune approach to managing and transferring family wealth. The seminar explores the dynamics and causes of traditional planning failures and how to avoid them. Donors will get valuable insights and advisors tools they can use with their clients.
Presenters are Rod Zeeb, J.D., co-founder and CEO of The Heritage Institute, and Steven Weldon, J.D., director of leadership giving at UC Santa Cruz.
Rod Zeeb is an attorney whose practice focuses on business, financial estate planning and administration, real estate and related tax issues. The Heritage Institute provides training in the discipline of heritage planning.
Steven Weldon, before his tenure at UC Santa Cruz, practiced law with the Wycoff firm in Watsonville for 20 years, volunteering for community causes and serving as president of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association.
Participants can sign up for one of two identical sessions that day, the first at 8:00 a.m. and the other at 12 noon.
The cost is $30 for either session and continuing education credit is available.
