Two Night Improv Workshop Intensive with Jonathan Zadok

After 20 years, more than 200 Improv shows, and teaching hundreds of classes to students from all over the world, Jonathan Zadok is coming home to teach an improvisational workshop in Santa Cruz.

Activity + Environment + Emotion = Great Characters.  This is the "equation" we will be solving as your listening and storytelling skills strengthen.  We will create great scene work using a series of theatre games and exercises that will improve your abilities as a performer for the audience and your scene partners.  These are skills that will make you a better improviser, actor, and someone people want to work with.

Simply put, you will learn to:

-Wait for the funny
-Not be afraid of the silence
-Build scenes not only from the audience's suggestions, but your scene partner's ideas

Jonathan Zadok studied theatre at Cabrillo College, where he was an award recipient for his work in the classroom and on the stage.  In 1996 Jonathan graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.  He has continued his studies at various acting studios, including Steve Eastin Studios, Carolyne Barry Creative, and The L.A. Connection Comedy Theatre.  He has coached several prominent and up-and-coming actors for the past 10 years
