Hip Hop For Hope

Promoting positivity through hip hop and giving back to the community and those in need during the holiday season.

On Friday, DEC. 9, over 100 people packed the for the all ages  event.

A collection of businesses in collaboration with the G.H.W.R. Youth Center put on this event to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties and the local Toys for Tots chapter.

Youth and adults attended to enjoy a variety of performances by local hip hop artists, break dancers and DJs. Most importantly, people came out to give back to their community.

A total of 75 new toys and 150 pounds of food were collected at the event. In addition, $120 from raffle ticket sales will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank by the promoter. This translates to 480 healthy meals for needy families.

The G.H.W.R. Youth Center and Villederberg record label would like to thank all those who came out to support this great event.
