Youth Center Activities in July!

Check out the Youth Center activities in July!

Summer over here at the Youth Center so far has been a blast. Kids are having a great time participating in daily activities, the Get Out, Get Fit Youth Camp is in full swing, and the center is in the process of getting a new paint job!

If you are a kid or teen who is tired of being stuck at home on your vacation, check us out at the Youth Center, where you're guaranteed to have a fun time and meet new people.

Here is some information on a few things we have coming up in the month of July.

SUMMER HOURS: The will be open for longer hours starting until Friday, August 10th. The Drop-in Recreation Program will be open from Monday to Friday, 1:00PM to 8:00PM.

7/8 Beach Day - Join Sr. Recreation Leaders David and Gonzo for a fun trip to the beach! The trip is $5 for youth ages 6-17 and will be from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Sign up and submit a parent permission slip at the GHWR Youth Center. Space is limited and you must provide your own lunch.

7/27 Band Night - Support your local music scene by checking out bands that are from around the area. Most of the bands playing will be making their debut in Watsonville, so make sure you don't miss out! The event will start at 7pm and will be $6 at the door. All ages are welcome.

Ongoing activities/classes:

Power Up! A Series of Healthy Snacks Champions for Change are offering a series of free healthy cooking classes to show kids how to prepare easy snacks. The classes are every Tuesday in July starting at 3:00PM for ages 6-15.

Boys in the Woods (Outdoor Camp for Teen Boys) - Details and dates for this program are to be announced. If you are interested in finding out more information about this or any Youth Center program, please feel free to contact 768-3247.
