Cabrillo Lions Dedicate path and picnic area in Polo Grounds

Cabrillo Lions have completed a 2000' path and two picnic areas in the Polo Grounds Park in Aptos. The dedication and grand opening will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, with representatives from Park and Recreation, the businesses who donated to the project, and local media."This is the biggest project the club has done since construction of the Cabirllo Lions community Center in Aptos Village Park," according to President Jess Allen.

Donating businesses were Probuild, Big Creek Lumber, Granite Construction company, Tom Santoro transportation, and the Johnson Road Company. Chairs of the event are Lion Fil Munoz and Lion Steve Irving.

The public is invited to attend. Cabrillo Lions meet the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. in Aptos Village Park, 100 Aptos Creek Rd. Visitors are welcome to all programs, but reservations are required for dinner. The March 22 meeting will celebrate the 51st year of the club.
