Edwin Garcia-Portugal, 17, died earlier this month after battling brain cancer. His classmates at Pajaro Valley High have organized a car wash fundraiser to help the teen's family pay funeral costs.
The fundraiser will be at , at 2026 Freedom Blvd. in Watsonville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20.
Those interested in making a contribution who can't attend the car wash can send their donations to the Edwin Garcia-Portugal Memorial Fund, care of Pajaro Valley High School, 500 Harkins Slough Rd., Watsonville, CA 95076.
