Watsonville Patch celebrated its first year with pulled pork and a lot of special people.

Watsonville Patch readers, bloggers, freelancers and lots of local newsmakers gathered at on Wednesday to celebrate the online news hub's first year of operation.

Party-goers got appetizers, free Patch gear and a little bit of a roast by retired Watsonville Police Chief Terry Medina.

Thanks Jennifer & all. Even though we got there a tad late, it was great to see how many people turned out for this. It was an interesting mix of city leaders, movers & shakers, and just plain folks having a great time. It was also nice to put faces with the names I see so often in the comments on Watsonville Patch. Thanks to Carmona's also, still making the best pulled pork sandwich in the know Universe!
