Become a member of our Docent Team by attending Training, starting on January 23. Docent Training is interesting, with experts providing an inside look at the wetlands, their ecology and history.

In 2012, trained docent volunteers facilitated nature experiences for over a thousand young people.   Docents also helped with special events, native plant garden and greenhouse work, creative projects and more. You too can become a member of our top-notch Docent Team by attending the2013 Docent Training Program, starting on January 23. Docent Training is fun and interesting, with local experts providing an inside look at the wetlands of Watsonville, including the ecology, history and restoration of the wetlands. This 7-week program includes Wednesday evening presentations and Saturday morning field trips. While it is not a requirement, we hope to add some bilingual docents to our team.

Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Kathy Fieberling, at 831-345-1226 or email kathyfieb@yahoo.com for details and to enroll.  Visit www.watsonvillewetlandswatch.org for more information.
