Jax: Healthy and Homebound (Well...as soon as he finds a home)

Jax, a foster dog from Animal Friends Rescue Project, is ready to go home.

Funny how some things take longer than you planned. It might be something as involved as a new CD—which I just [finally] finished. Or it could be a simple little foster dog who becomes a project unto himself. I guess the lesson learned is never be surprised when things take time.

In the case of said dog, "Jax", a fluffy little Pomeranian, came to us back in March. when we figured we'd just get him healthy and boot him off to his perfect new forever home.

But it took awhile to get him back into shape. He was found underweight, wandering the streets of Stockton. Animal Friends Rescue Project took him in and sent him out way. We helped him get over the shellshock of going from streets to shelter to our place. We put some weight on him. We quickly learned to nickname him "Houdini" after he became the only dog EVER to find an escape route out of our secure yard. (I swear this dog has more lives than a cat.) And we then got him fixed.

So he's fixed. Healthy. Happy. Ready for a new forever home. He'll be up on the AFRP site in a week or so. And if you happen to be as smitten with this little guy as we've become, I'll add the AFRP adoption/application link as a comment to this post as soon as it's available.

Jax will find his home, and we'll mark off one more successfully completed project.
