Breaking News?

I'm sitting up here near Henry Cowell park watching Cal Fire fly back and forth over the park and sirens race up Graham Hill Rd. 
My question is where would one find out what's going on? It seems obvious there is a fire but local news is showing the hale in Minnesota and breaking news on Patch is about a shoot out arrest that is close to 48 hours old. 
PICK can't even figure out how to contact Patch or ksbw  other than send an email and wait a couple of days for a response.  Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
