Neighborhood Watch Takes Off!

successful neighbor hood watch meeting and progress with peace with the brown berets.

The First Watch meeting took place last night at my house on Palm. We had residents from Palm, Lincoln, Wilkie,Tharp and Brewington. 40 people showed up to show their support and are willing to lend their feet and eyes for this project. we are 92 members Strong and growing. Last night i had the pleasure of meeting everyone and although i didn't get to talk in depth to everyone i think we have an amazing group of friends and watch team.

In attendance last night we had the Brown Berets. We i assume came to the conclusion that this isnt aout race but about protecting our streets and families. i offered my "olive branch" last night and said we would be willing to work with them to help youth programs as well as their bike shack. Although our political goals are different and we will never see eye to eye on certain things we will look past our differences and work towards keeping violence off our streets.

i hold strong to my opinions and so will they. but last night i talked to each of them and saw passion and conviction in each of their eyes and saw truth of what they stand for. some times people make mistakes and opinions get thrown about but i sit here typing this now and i stand by my words of keeping the peace with the brown berets and will support some of the things they do. The BB that showed last night were polite and very respectful and would allow them into my house anytime to iron out our differences anytime.

Inconclution we will fight together to keep violence off our streets and our neighbor hood watch is  happening without fail, and there is no bad blood between our watch group and the brown berets.

Thank you to all that showed up in support of our watch. i will be calling you soon with in the next couple days and setting up you watch schedule and getting your T-shirts ordered.
