Two men were busted for gang and gun charges, and three others cited for alcohol violations when officers were out working state Alcohol Beverage Control enforcement grant Friday night, Watsonville police reported.
Officers from Watsonville police and ABC pulled over a silver sedan for vehicle code violations just before 10 p.m., police said.
One man, Felipe Jimenez-Salas, jumped out of the car and tried to run, but was caught. He and Patrick Diaz, a passenger, were arrested on suspicion of gun and gang charges, police said.
Officers reportedly found a loaded semi-auto pistol inside the passenger compartment. The gun had been reported stolen, police said.
The driver and three other passengers were cited and released for alcohol violations, police said.
