Bank Robbery Suspect Photo Released

Police are searching for this man in connection with a gunpoint heist earlier this month.

Watsonville police released a surveillance photo Friday of a man suspected of robbing an East Lake Avenue bank at gunpoint last week.

No further updates about the case were released Friday.

The heist happened at Citibank about 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 1. The robber wore a Halloween-style mask when he was in the bank, but police say this image of him was captured outside the building before he put on the mask and committed the robbery.

The robber pointed a gun at the four employees inside the bank and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He ran from the bank to Tuttle Avenue, where he got into a green Honda sedan driven by another man.

Sgt. Saul Gonzalez said the robber likely isn't from Watsonville. Also, he may have altered his appearance to look more dishelved than he normaly would.
