Car Goes Airborne on Hwy. 129, Hits Guardrail

A Clovis man was badly hurt in the Monday morning crash.

A Clovis man driving west on Highway 129 lost control of his car on a series of curves Monday morning, sending the car airborne before it eventually crashed, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The man, age 28, suffered major injuries, according to the CHP.

The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. His 2001 Honda Civic blew through a guardrail, flew through the air, landed in a field and collided with a second steel guardrail, according to the CHP.

The driver was flown to San Jose Regional Medical Center by CalStar air ambulance for treatment. His condition was not released.
