Cops Clobber Firefighters, on the Field
Watsonville police officers and firefighters had some fun in city league softball Monday night.
For once, the officers and were on opposite sides Monday evening, when the two public safety agencies duked it out on the softball diamond at .
The police, sponsored by Bay City Tow, beat the fire crew—the "Wolfpack"—and won the city league softball game, 14-6.
Rudy Lopez Jr, a police officer whose dad is a fire captain, said it was pretty fun to win. He's also trying to get other agencies and departments to join the league's next session. The city's organizes the league.
