Coroner IDs Man Killed in Las Lomas Crash
The Sunday morning crash happened on Hall Road near Elkhorn Road.
The man who died when his car ran off Hall Road on Sunday morning was a 21-year-old Las Lomas resident, the Monterey County Sheriff-Coroner reported Monday.
Ernesto Mendoza died in . He was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Gallant that veered off the road and down an embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car rolled several times. The CHP reported the crash happened sometime between midnight and 7 a.m., when the wreck was discovered. Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene and the CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
