Couple Stabbed in Gang Incident near Rolling Hills School

The man and woman were treated at the hospital and there is no suspect information.

Contributed by the Watsonville Police Department:

On Dec. 4 at approximately 6:08 p.m., Master Officer Ojeda was at the Watsonville Community Hospital on an unrelated investigation at the emergency room. A Hispanic male and female couple entered the emergency room and advised that the male was a victim of a stabbing and the female was battered as well.

Medical personnel along with Master Officer Ojeda determined that the male was battered and sustained a single stab wound to the torso area. The female was battered and had lacerations and contusions to her face and body.

Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that the victims were in the area of Holm Road and Anna Street walking on the near the track at Rolling Hills School. They were approached by four or five unknown suspects and gang slogans were yelled toward the couple.

The couple was then attacked by the suspect. Both were battered and the male victim was also stabbed once in the upper torso with a knife. The couple was able to flee from the suspects after the assault and drove to the Watsonville Community Hospital. Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries as a result of the attack.

The victims were not able to provide very much information regarding the descriptions of the suspects and few leads have been developed at this time. The investigation is being treated as a gang-related crime.

The Watsonville Police Department is requesting help from the public with the investigation. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to call the Investigations Bureau at 768-3350 or the Watsonville Tipline at 768-3544.

"The victims were not able to provide very much information regarding the descriptions of the suspects..."

It was a Hispanic couple who were attacked, nothing was said anywhere in the article about "white people." I agree about needing more jobs to keep people out of trouble. Contact your City Council person and ask where the jobs are.

I'd like to have more info about this. I'm thinking of "bundling" my telephone land line,Read More internet, and HGTV with Charter, BUT if they practice censorhsip, I might reconsider. Any more info would be appreciated...what websites are being blocked?
Butch Cole June 16, 2013 at 01:32 am
I'd like more information also..I have Charter now and can't remember getting notification that theyRead More are blocking sites.
Earl Pickles June 16, 2013 at 10:40 pm
Doubtful that notification would be given. Sites that are most troublesome for Charter are thoseRead More available for downloading copyrighted material. This is not to say that Charter is a bad ISP for it is a relative fast, moderately priced, reliable service in this area. I would suggest however that you do not lease the required equipment from them but purchase your own. If you are interested in finding out more about Charter and other ISPs blocking sites, information is available on the Internet.
