Crime Briefs: Robbery and Vehicle Theft
The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A man armed with a handgun robbed an Airport Boulevard convenience store on Friday evening, Watsonville police reported.
The robber held up the store around 7:30 p.m., while several employees and customers were in the building. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. No one was hurt.
The robber was described as short, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves with a black bandanna over his face.

No arrests have been made. Police ask anyone with information about the case to call the Investigations Bureau at 768-3350 or the crime tip line at 768-3544.

Two 14-year-old boys were arrested early on Christmas Eve for allegedly stealing a red 1991 Nissan Sentra from a home on Carey Avenue the day before, police said.
The car theft had occurred around 8 a.m. Friday. The boys were arrested in an apartment complex on Landis Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Both were taken to Juvenile Hall.
Earlier in the week, for allegedly taking a car that was left running while its owner ran into his home to take a shower.
