Crime Recap: Christmas Trees Stolen in Watsonville

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 5:15 a.m., 216 E. Lake Ave.

Incident: Jennie Roberts was arrested on suspicion of causing a disturbance in a convenience store by throwing food around and refusing to leave.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 6:18 a.m., 400 block of California Street

Incident: A suspect threw a rock through a vehicle window, then took a purse; no leads in the case and it was suspended.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 3:40 a.m., 100 block of Tharp Avenue

Incident: A suspect smashed the right rear passenger door window and took a bag from inside. The case was closed because of lack of leads.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 11:46 a.m., 100 block of Eaton Avenue

Incident: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took a wallet kept in the driver-door storage compartment. The victim had no leads or witness information, so the case was closed.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 2:43 p.m., Rodriguez Street, near West Beach Street

Incident: Terry Carter was arrested on suspicion of having a probation violation warrant out on him. He was taken to county jail.

Time/Date: Dec. 5, 3 p.m., 300 block of Herman Avenue

Incident: A suspect entered an unlocked home and took two pistols and two televisions.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 4:22 p.m., 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard

Incident: Ernesto Mendoza was arrested on suspicion of taking a Christmas tree from a store without paying for it. He was cited and released.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 7 p.m., Maple Avenue, near Union Street

Incident: A suspect stole a vehicle; a bulletin was issued. There is no suspect information.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 7:26 p.m., 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard

Incident: A suspect stole a Christmas tree from outside a Rite Aid store and left in a white Toyota 4-Runner. The license plate number was jotted down by the store’s security officer.

Time/Place: Dec. 5, 8:12 p.m., 100 block of Roache Road

Incident: Manuel Ramirez, 64, was arrested for alleged domestic disturbance while intoxicated, following an alleged row with his family.

Time/Date: Dec. 5, 9:08 p.m., 400 block of Main Street

Incident: A boy and girl were seen tagging a wall with spray paint; the officer found fresh paint on the rear wall of 448 Main St., with the letters Rebel LPW QX/vVO. There was no suspect information.
