Driveby Shooting Injures Man

The gang-related attack happened Saturday afternoon.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the foot Saturday afternoon when gunfire peppered a Watsonville neighborhood, police reported.

The shooting happened near Green Valley Road and Carey Avenue around 2:40 p.m. Police said it was gang-motivated, based on who the victim was and the location of the shooting. Witnesses said the shots were fired from a gray four door Honda Accord, and that there were two passengers, according to Sgt. Henry Robles of the Watsonville Police Department.

Police were unable to confirm the number of shots fired because no casings or bullets were found, said Robles.
